Delhi Experiences Heavy Rainfall, Waterlogging at Several Places

New Delhi: Delhi witnessed heavy rains on Saturday. Vasant Kunj, RK Puram, Connaught Place and Minto Bridge are experiencing intense shower. Panchkuian Marg was reported in Panchkuian Marg in the national capital since the early hours of the morning.

The monsoon season caused a deadly damage to the state. Since June 20, a total of 202 deaths have been recorded due to events related to monsoon. 108 of them died due to rain, floods and landslides, according to the latest official data in traffic accidents 94 deaths occurred.

In August, the IMD also reported that the rainfall in Himachal Pradesh was above normal than normal, solan, Kullu, Kinnaur, Bilaspur and Una’s average precipitation.

Between 1 June and 8 August, the state received 13 percent more rainfall than the seasonal average. The highest rainfall was recorded in Shimla area and followed by mandi, where rainfall is about 65 percent above normal. Chamba, flour, bilaspur and kangra regions have also recorded 40 percent more rainfall than normal. Despite wet conditions, there is no large flood warning yet, since the rainfall remains slightly in many regions.
