A clash broke out between security personnel and Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Thursday, January 29, 2026, a police official said.
He said that the clash started in the morning in a forest in the southern part of Bijapur when a team of District Reserve Guards (DRG) went on an anti-Maoist operation due to the presence of armed cadres in the area.
He added that an intermittent gunfight was ongoing and further details were awaited.
