Two people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but one was released. The attack, which is not considered terrorism-related, took place on a high-speed train in Cambridgeshire on Saturday evening.

Police first arrested two men, a 32-year-old black British citizen and the other a 35-year-old British citizen of Caribbean origin. In the last update this evening, they said the 35-year-old has been released and they are only looking at one suspect at the moment.

To talk TelegramMs. Arnold recalled an attacker coming toward her and making a six-word comment that “the devil can’t win.”

“I hit some seats. I saw the knife maker running, he came at me with a knife. I said, ‘Please, please don’t do it.’

“Then something changed in his eyes and he said, ‘the devil will not win.’”

Police remained at the scene at Huntingdon railway station all day and forensic teams were filmed inside the train.

Officers were also seen walking in a line in the parking lot looking at the ground, examining bushes and peering into a trash can.

Home Affairs Minister Shabana Mahmood previously said she was “receiving regular updates from the police”.

In a message released by Buckingham Palace, the King said: “My wife and I were truly horrified and shocked to hear of the horrific stabbing attack on a train in Cambridgeshire last night.
