‘Akkaareya Angala’ summer camps for rural kids begin

‘Akkaareya Angala’ summer camps for rural school children started across the district on Thursday and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Nandini KR warned of stringent action against officials in case of lack of coordination or lack of organization of the camps.

Emphasizing accountability, he said the initiative aims to provide recreational opportunities as well as quality learning to children in rural areas. The directive comes after the successful implementation of the program last year, which was carried out in coordination with Arivu centres, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Department and Education Department.
