Thrissur Pooram Fireworks Unit Explodes: Several Dead, Blasts Continue

Just days before the Thrissur Pooram, a massive explosion took place at the fireworks manufacturing unit in Mundathikode, which was preparing shows for the Thiruvambady group. It was reported that six people died and many workers were injured. The death toll is expected to rise as most of the injured are in critical condition. Ongoing secondary explosions complicate rescue operations.
