It was a rainy day in 2024, and I was a local journalist when I first met Queen Camilla. We were in Rye and I was part of the media covering Her Majesty that day. From meeting local charities at a church to touring a National Trust property it was all pretty amazing.

But what I will never forget was the garden party outside. By this point, thankfully, the sun was out and everyone was very happy to be there. And I saw a side of Queen Camilla that I could never have imagined from her reports over the years.

He was very calm and interested in them, helping them sit down and watching them carefully.

He took care to listen to them and did not hesitate to be asked for photographs several times.

In fact, he was interested in every aspect. And I have no doubt that if it was like that against these two older players, it would be like that against the younger kids as well.

I think he would listen to their conversations, play games with them, and give them his undivided attention in every aspect.

Archie and Lilibet would be lucky to meet Her Majesty as grandchildren of Camilla’s husband, King Charles.
