Annavaram EO Cancels Nod To Brahma Kumaris’ Programmes

KAKINADA: Sri Veera Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam in Annavaram has canceled permission to hold Prajapitha Brahma Kumari’s Eswariya Vidyalaya programs to be held from January 20-24.

Vendra Trinadha Rao, joint commissioner of endowments and executive officer of Annavaram Devasthanam, said that Eswariya Viswa Vidyalayam organizers of Prajapitha Brahma Kumaris had submitted a presentation to the endowments commissioner stating that the organization would organize Rajayoga Dhyanam at Ratnagiri hills in Annavaram. They requested the authorities to provide poultry rooms and halls at a 50 percent discount.

However, the executive body of Andhra Pradesh’s Viswa Hind Parishad submitted a representation to the Annavaram Devasthanam, urging it not to allow the Brahma Kumaris to organize their schedules and reject their demands for rooms and halls.

The VHP claimed that the Brahma Kumaris organization was “an anti-Hindu religious organization and therefore the temple should withdraw the permissions”.

Trinadha Rao said, “Considering the sentiments of Devasthanam devotees, the request of Brahma Kumaris was rejected.” he said.
