Celebrity Traitors fans were thrown into turmoil when Alan Carr killed his best friend Paloma Faith in Thursday night’s episode.

Comedian Alan and his Traitor friends, chat show host Jonathan Ross and singer Cat Burns, were tasked with the public ‘murder’.

Alan had to kill a believer by using the pollen of the poison lily and touching someone’s face.

After finding the perfect moment in the kitchen, he asked Paloma, “You have hair on your face,” before gently touching her face to fix her hair.

Fans were outraged at X as he reacted to the murder: ‘I didn’t expect Paloma Faith to be the first person killed on The Traitors! Also, Jonathan Ross is right: Alan Carr needs to get stronger. Alan Carr… Get stronger!’,

‘Paloma no longer believes in Alan Carr #CelebrityTraitors’,

‘So you’re telling me the producers managed to cast Paloma Faith only for her girlfriend Alan Carr to kill her within the first few days?’

‘No! Alan Carr, what were you thinking, mate? Poor Paloma, I wouldn’t choose her, she wasn’t a threat. #TheCelebrityTraitors’,

‘I love Alan Carr, but he wishes he hadn’t killed Paloma Faith. He’s a great character and would be amazing to watch’,

‘My reaction when Alan Carr killed Paloma Faith’,

When Claudia asked how he felt about Paloma ‘deceasing’, Alan said: ‘I think we’re all going to really miss her.’

Jonathan said, “We will avenge his death!” he added.

Alan added: ‘We really had a connection. I think Paloma’s murder alienated everyone from me. I get ‘Are you okay, I know Paloma is close to you’.

Fans are not convinced that Alan, who appeared laughing after being singled out in Tuesday’s premiere episode, has what it takes to be a Traitor.

While all the celebrities were blindfolded around the table, Alan couldn’t help but giggle when the TV presenter tapped him on the shoulder.

The comedian admitted that he was worried about the possibility of going unnoticed by his famous friends.

Speaking to the camera, the actor said: ‘I have a sweating problem and I can’t keep a secret. What will I do? ‘There’s a burning weight on my shoulders, I’m so nervous.’

Alan said Claudia looked directly at him as she addressed the traitors in front of the entire group, and that he was “worse than Linda!”, referring to series three contestant Linda Rands, who memorably stared directly at Claudia, causing eventual winner Jake Brown to become suspicious of her. He declared that he was.

Viewers preferred X to react to the Traitors’ choice; Many predicted that Alan would avoid detection due to his reaction to being singled out.

They wrote: ‘Alan Carr will be the worst Traitor ever, it’s so obvious’… ‘Alan Carr will be a box office hit as the Traitor.’
