21-year-old woman killed after Sabarimala pilgrims’ bus hits scooter in Kerala’s Malappuram

A 21-year-old woman died after her scooter was hit by a bus on national highway 66 at Kuttippuram in Kerala’s Malappuram district on Saturday morning. It was stated that the deceased was Rifa, a native of Nilambur.
The bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims from Karnataka was heading towards Kuttippuram railway station when it hit his scooter. While the woman who was hit by the bus died at the scene, her friend sitting in the back escaped with minor injuries.
Rifa’s body was transferred to Government Taluk Hospital in Kuttippuram.
At the time of the accident, highway construction was continuing in the region and traffic restrictions were imposed.
