AP Bags 11 Skoch Awards For Poverty Alleviation, Social Justice

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh received 11 Skoch awards in the categories of Social Justice and Urban Poverty Reduction. Awards – nine platinum and a gold – presented at the Indian Habitat Center in the New Delhi on Saturday.

Speaking after receiving the prestigious Skoch Gold Award under the Social Justice category, BC welfare Minister S. Savita devoted the award to Prime Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is willing to strengthen unemployed classes by providing free coaching to take part in competitive exams.

Satisfied with Honor, Savita said that the award would motivate him to work with more commitment. A BC work circle and Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Anantapur announced that the government has planned to establish new working centers in Aaravati.

“Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Naidu give the most important priority to the welfare of weak sections,” he said.

On that day, the task of eliminating poverty in the municipal regions (MEPMA) received nine Skoch Platinum Awards for the exemplary service in reducing urban poverty. MEPMA presented 14 projects to be evaluated and was selected for the Nine Skoch Platinum awards. These reflect Mepma’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive urban development throughout Andhra Pradesh.

MEPMA Director N. Tej Bharath, who received the awards on behalf of MEPMA, looked the Andhra Pradesh government, special MEPMA team and urban self -aid groups for their quest for brutal progress. Skoch Platinum Awards stressed that MEPMA strengthens its position as a model agency with successful projects that can be adopted by other states for urban strengthening and inclusive growth.

Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) won the Prestige Skoch Award for the success of the successful implementation of digital ticket services and made travel more comfortable and transparent for passengers.

The award was given at a ceremony held on September 20 in a new Delhi. The company’s chief engineer (IT) received the Y. Srinivasa Rao award. Executive Director (Administration) GV Ravi Varma, who explained this, said that APSRTC is proud of its recognition. Vice President and MD Dwaraka Tirumala Rao expressed happiness to win the award and congratulated the personnel who contributed to this success.

SCOCH GROUP President Sameer Kochhar and Professor Mahander presented giant awards. Among those present was the BC welfare secretary S. Satyanarayana.
