Trans shooter who went on rampage in Canadian high school seen for first time

The transgender gunman who killed his mother and brother and then killed eight people in the second deadliest school attack in Canadian history was filmed for the first time.
18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar opened fire in the library of Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia on Tuesday afternoon.
Three girls and two boys, aged between 13 and 17, were killed, as well as a female teacher.
The attacker committed suicide at school. He killed his mother, Jennifer, and his brother, Emmett, in their home beforehand, CTV News reported.
It was understood that Van Rootselaar used his mother’s name Strang in social life and at school. She was identified by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on Wednesday and identified as a female.
RCMP said Jesse began identifying as female six years ago at the age of 12 and received numerous calls to her home regarding her mental health.
The spokesman said Van Rootselaar stopped going to school four years ago when he was just 14 years old.
