According to reports in the Thai media, at least 27 people died in a huge fire that broke out in a bar in Bangkok. Fire crews were called to the scene just after midnight and saw customers fleeing through the venue’s front door, which was covered in flames.

According to local media reports, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul told reporters at the scene that 27 people died and many were hospitalized. He said the cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Unverified footage showed flames coming out of the bar as a woman fell to the ground before getting up to escape.
