‘March for Australia’ is not common patriotism — it’s Nazi-led mobilisation

with israel call out This story, written in August by IA’s intrepid anti-fascist Tom Tanuki, shows yet another step down a dangerous path our nation is taking this week as everyone but actual Nazis claim “anti-Semitism.”

The messages of the viral rally are slippery and vague, but the organizers are nothing more than a reorganization of the far right. Tom Tanuki reports.
On the way to a series of white nationalists March for Australia I was relieved to read what an experienced antifascist blogger wrote during the rallies on August 31st. Andy Flemingbetter known as “lazy bastard“, write on it blue sky HE:
‘…the political dynamic at play closely matches the informing dynamic’ take back australia In 2015.”
It’s reassuring to see another old warhorse getting hit by the parallels.
(I’m not comparing my degree of experience to that of a lazy bastard, mind you. I’ve only had a decade of experience trudging through these sewers; he’s decades ahead of me. blog As in 2015, it remains a definitive source on recent historical far-right events in Australia.)
This is not the first time since the failure of the patriot movement that someone has tried to start a series of nationalist rallies with the aesthetics of Australian flags and Islamophobic mouth-frothing. Not even for the hundredth time. I’ve lost count of how many failed attempts there have been at Reclaim 2.0. Someone tried to reunite patriots under the guise of attacking Muslims. July – and all they had was 100 poor souls and 4 Nazis arguing with each other in the rain.
The only thing worth noting about this is March for Australia,, The first videos, then, “went viral” after racking up millions of views. (Personally, I think someone paid or arranged for this to go so viral, but we may not see those receipts.) Now, coated in the ultimate stamp of approval of virality, it has become worthy of endless coverage in mainstream media and co-signs from far-right politicians—all of which have cemented its notoriety.
As for who is leading this rally and why, countless revenues are already abundant. articles And videos by both liberal and left commentators. However, for the sake of clarity, let’s be clear: All those on August 31 were rallies organized by national socialists.
I’m not saying you’re a national socialist because you’re considering leaving. The message of this rally is slippery and vague, as if it’s telling you: Whatever you think it’s about, so do it. But you are still furthering the organizers’ cause.
Bec FreedomA disgruntled suburban mother who had been seeking approval from the Nazis for over a year was the first to link these newly produced videos to her former liberation movement friends. He made clarifications in early organizational conversations about his rally messages. “Australian = European = white”.
Every state organizer revealed was a Nazi. Matt TriheyThe organizer of the Melbourne rally is a seasoned Nazi. He was giving his friend combat training Thomas SewellNazi gym membership base in 2019. Others, whose true identities have not yet been revealed, have posts full of white supremacist speech. In every state they are all run by Nazis.
The National Socialist Network, the Nazi cult that takes care of childcare, loudly dictates who is and isn’t welcome at rallies (Jews, Muslims, etc.). Organizations are not saying they are wrong.
That’s it. Now you know what it is March for Australia means for organizers. It makes no sense to claim that this means anything else to you. If you leave, this is your stage.
In clearing all this up, I’m going back to 2015, just like slackbastard was. Here we once again tell the “common-sense patriots” that they have been led into the garden path by neo-Nazis. I focused on what was so different from then and what wasn’t so different.
Same thing is that Thomas Sewell is once again helping to lead this mass display of “patriotism”. Strictly speaking, he came a little later and, together with his Nazi friends, headed the United Patriots Front (UPF). Blair Cottrell – their result divide With the patriotic patriotic stylings of Reclaim Australia. Sewell is still here, still helping make the decisions of organized racism.
What was different was that at the time they were doing their part to hide their neo-Nazism; They hoped to come to power on a wave of civic nationalist enthusiasm, while “concealing their level of power”, so to speak. It took a lazy bastard leak UPF president Cottrell says, among other things, that there should be a portrait of Adolf Hitler in every classroom to begin to convince the public. But now they are openly Hitlerite neo-Nazis. We are still told that “we call everyone Nazis” even though the Nazis called themselves that too!
Ditto, as Slackbastard points out, the presence of “charismatic” figures to lead the charge on social media – e.g. Hugo Lennonalso known as Sunlighta young nationalist furry. Creator figures help lead people to rallies while polishing and refining their intentions, just as they did in 2015. Even if Lennon is a Nazi, he has the savvy to know how to tone it down for the crowds. (You can read a little about his ties to neo-Nazis. video. Sorry, you’ll need to use a VPN to watch. Lennon filed a defamation complaint via YouTube to restrict viewing by anyone in Australia.)
The big difference these days is the significant restructuring of the far right, which from the mid-2010s began to take over the mainstream and form a thriving constellation of interdependent media outlets. All the money and opportunities in the world are now available for the far right to tap dance their way into. So even silver spoons are attracted to him. The leaders of the patriot movement were largely working-class whites like Cottrell or Cottrell. Shermon ‘The Great Australian Patriot’ BurgessThey are now the heirs of property development tycoons like Lennon.
In 2025, our organized racist opponents are much more dangerous than they were a decade ago. They carry their national socialist rhetoric on their sleeves and banners and challenge the public to accept it. The Nazis among them are now violent, cult-like children grooms people who have their own share houses and employment networks. They are better organised, better connected and better financed.
What hasn’t changed is that now that they’re meeting across the country, we need to go meet them there. Last time, the anti-racism movement in Australia took action by meeting racists in the streets, dispersing their numbers, making it unattractive for ordinary people to join their increasingly fragmented movements, personalizing them to draw attention to their leaders, etc. he replied. And we loser them. Remember, if these are the heirs of the patriot movement and in some cases the exact same people, we are ahead of them 1-0. Now we have to do this again.
