Russia Silently Begins SU-57 Delivery: Two Fighter Jets Sent To Ghost Buyer – Who Got The Deadliest Jets? | World News

Moscow: Russia has quietly started delivering its most advanced fifth-generation fighter jet, the Su-57, to an undisclosed foreign buyer. Aircraft manufacturer United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has confirmed that two jets have been delivered and are now operational.
UAC CEO Vadim Badekha told state media channel One: “Two Su-57 aircraft have been delivered to a foreign partner and are currently on combat duty. Our customer is satisfied with the aircraft.”
The identity of the buyer was not publicly disclosed. Russia’s official arms export agency, Rosoboronexport, announced that an agreement was reached for the Su-57 in November 2024, but the purchasing country at that time was kept secret.

Analysts have speculated that the buyer could be Algeria, as the country’s state media reported in February that its pilots were training in Russia to fly the Su-57.
The Su-57 is Russia’s most advanced fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft and is produced in limited numbers. Only three countries worldwide are mass producing fifth-generation fighter jets: the US F-35 and F-22, the Chinese J-20 and J-35, and the Russian Su-57.
Moscow’s export version, the Su-57E, features modified electronics, avionics and software compared to the domestic fleet, making it an export-class model. The delivery of these two jets shows that Russia continues to maintain its production capacity despite ongoing conflicts.
Analysts emphasize that Russia is either producing aircraft despite the war or using existing inventory to meet foreign orders.
The Su-57 is known for its advanced stealth design, digital systems and multi-role capabilities. Western countries have been keeping a close eye on Russia’s military production, especially since the war in Ukraine, making this first overseas delivery a notable development.
