Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase was ‘smoking meth’ in freezing cold after he returned to the streets following hospitalization

Mighty Ducks alum Shaun Weiss has revealed that former Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase, who is currently experiencing homelessness, is back on the streets after being placed on involuntary psychiatric hold for 72 hours.
The Daily Mail broke the news that Chase, 36, was hospitalized last week after LA-based influencer Jacob ‘Jake’ Harris, who helped the former Nickelodeon actor and is a friend of Weiss, contacted a crisis centre.
Now Weiss explained via Instagram That Chase was released early from psychiatric supervision.
‘They had to keep him and transport him to the detox facility we arranged. “Instead, they took him out without consulting any of us,” he said. Added to TMZ.
Weiss said Harris found Chase on the streets late at night in Riverside last week and contacted the crisis team again.
Chase later underwent a second evaluation but was reportedly using drugs at the time.

The former Nickelodeon star is now experiencing homelessness, but many of her friends and fans are stepping up to help
Weiss said Chase was told he was ‘smoking meth during the evaluation, in the freezing cold, without shoes or a jacket.’
The crisis team once again determined that he was a danger to himself, but ultimately did not let him back in.
Now Weiss isn’t sure how to proceed, but she’s been in contact with several executive members of the Screen Actors Guild in hopes of potentially getting help from a political representative.
Weiss is also appealing for help to Riverside County.
Additionally, Weiss says the money well-intentioned fans gave Chase wasn’t helping his recovery.
It wasn’t too long ago that Weiss was also homeless and struggling with addiction.
Similar to Chase, he sought professional help after a video released in 2020 showed him at the lowest point of his struggle with substance abuse.
Chase, who played Martin Qwerly in 2000’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, was recently captured in a video on social media after viewers noticed the former actor sleeping rough.
Chase’s heartbreaking video sparked widespread outrage online, and Chase’s former co-stars expressed shock when they heard about it; Daniel Curtis Lee even put him up in a hotel.
Chase appeared on Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
Police previously told the Daily Mail that Chase had been “friendly and cooperative” with them, but told TMZ that Chase had also repeatedly refused housing, drug or alcohol treatment or mental health services.
Harris had been helping the former actor at the behest of Chase’s father, and told The Daily Mail last week that she was able to get him some help.
“I eventually managed to get through to a crisis center who did an assessment on the same day,” Harris told the Daily Mail on Christmas Day. ‘They decided he needed urgent help and took him to a local hospital for 72 hours of treatment.’
Harris added: ‘He’s doing well now. And the future looks bright. He just needed someone to actually do something to help.’
Harris, on the other hand, led Chase’s recovery because he was an acquaintance of Weiss.
Weiss also told the Daily Mail through her representative: ‘Tylor was taken to a facility by the mental health crisis team. ‘He is under the supervision of Riverside County authorities.’
Chase got help from Daniel Curtis Lee, Ned’s onetime co-star in the Declassified School Survival Guide, who recently checked him into a hotel.
‘Public support has come at a very critical time. He is not well. It needs care beyond the scope of standard detox facilities. Weiss added that it would need weeks to stabilize.
We wholeheartedly appreciate everyone’s tips and additional help, but now is the time to respect Tylor’s privacy.
‘He has all the necessary resources and we must pray for his recovery.’
Chase was photographed on a rainy Christmas Eve as a fan gave him warm clothes and some food to help him brave the elements, before praying for the former child star.
Chase appeared to thank the people who helped him.
The one-time child star was seen wearing a red jacket over a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and black Nike sneakers on the rainy winter day.
In video of the encounter, the man who brought the jacket to Chase initially draped it over him, then awkwardly helped the former actor pull his arms away from his sleeves.
When the fan asked if he could pray for Chase, the former actor briefly smiled and said, ‘I appreciate that!’ he said.
As Chase leaned forward, the man placed his hands on his shoulders and back and prayed for God to “release the demonic activity” and “bring him out of the darkness.”
