Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly feel slighted by the Royal Family after not receiving well-wishes on their eighth wedding anniversary earlier this month. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their wedding anniversary together in Montecito and were reportedly surprised that no members of Harry’s family reached out to send a message.

A source told Closer magazine: He said it was a huge “slap in the face” for Harry, especially as he felt his relationships with some royals, such as his father King Charles, had improved. An insider told the magazine: “In an ideal world they would have received a public message from the King, they wouldn’t have expected anything from the Welsh, but they were hoping Charles would extend some sort of olive branch to let everyone know they were back.”

“The fact that he ignored his big day, not only publicly but also privately, came as a huge slap in the face and left Harry completely shocked. Harry genuinely believed that things with his father were starting to thaw, so this hit him much harder than most people would have expected.”
