Best time to see spectacular orange ‘buck moon’ over UK skies

Buck Moon will rise in the British sky on Thursday and must be a magnificent orange landscape.

Last month’s full moon, like last December, will be low in the sky due to the ‘big moon stop’, which occurs every about 18 years and means that the moon has reached its most extreme positions on the horizon.

Buck Moon can be seen in the south and can be a tone of orange because it is low in the sky.

Why is it called ‘Buck Moon’?

The names we use for full months (such as ‘cold moon’, ‘Wolf Moon’ and ‘Harvest Moon’) come to us from indirect indirect American traditions

Gordon Johnston from NASA had previously announced: “In the 1930s, Maine Farmers began to publish ‘Indian’ names for the full months and connected these names to Europe.

NASA writes that Buck Moon is supposed to say: “The algonquin tribes of the North-East United States now called Buck Moon. In the early hours of summer, when the buck deer pushed new horns in velvety fur coatings.

July Full Moon is sometimes known as ‘Hay Moon’ or ‘Mead Moon’ in Europe after a fermented honey drink.

The big moon stops, it means that the moon is hanging in the sky in the sky (alamy)

When is the best time to see Buck Moon?

It will rise at 22:09 BST on July 10 and can be seen in the south-southwest in the constellation of Sagittarius.

You will be able to see it during the night and it will be in the southwest in the hours before the dawn.

One of the reasons why the moon looks lower in the sky stems from the big moon stance of last December.

This means that the path of the moon in the sky is longer: When the slope of the moon and the slope of the world overlap, the ‘big moon stops’ occurs.

Archaeologist and historian Jennifer Wexler said to the BBC: “The borders of Moonrise and Moonset in a few years are slowly changing until the north and highest number of moon births and Moonset positions are at the maximum distance on the horizon.

“This two -year period is known as a major month of stopping or hinge, and only occurs every 18.6 years.

“After a great stopping point has been reached, the distance between the north and southern moon birth and Moonset may be extremely far away and stays like this for about two years.”

Why will it look bigger and orange?

The moon will not actually be bigger, but it will look bigger because it perceives people closer to the horizon, which perceives people more, relatively talking.

This phenomenon has been known since ancient times, but it is still not fully understood.

When the moon is low in the sky, a reddish or orange color may appear.

This stems from the sunlight passing through the Earth’s atmosphere after jumping from the moon.
