Messi will come to Kerala, play friendly match in November: Sports Minister Abdurahiman
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) director Lionel Scaloni led by national teams Luanda, Angola and Kerala’da announced that they will play friendly matches after he was talking to journalists.
Abdurahiman said that the state initially asked AFA to plan the match in October or November this year.
The Minister, “Initially AFA planned for 2026. However, we contacted them and asked them to keep the match in Kerala this year. He said.
Abdurahiman expressing his happiness, “Argentina football team Kerala made a lot of effort to bring. We started to plan the rest of the arrangements and soon we will discuss the details, including the space,” he added.
A few Lakh football fans in the state said that he eagerly waiting for the match. “Our intention is to provide a platform for fans to see Messi’s play in Kerala.” He said. The Minister also said that the Ministry of Sports and Indian Reserve Bank approved the event and a government order was given. According to the opposition team, “We will choose a team between the top 50 of FIFA. The other four teams contacted us.”
