Three US Air Force members are found dead overnight after husband ‘murdered wife and her colleague before killing himself’

Three members of the US Air Force were found dead in a suspected murder suicide that shook the military community in Ohio.

Jacob Prichard, 34, is believed to have killed his wife, Jaymee Prichard, 33, and Lt. Jaime Gustitus, 25, before committing suicide Saturday morning.

While Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio confirmed their deaths, police told local media outlets it was a suicide homicide.

The Daily Mail has reached out to the air force base and local police for verification.

West Milton Police Chief Doyle Wright said: WHIOTV A witness in Sugarcreek County called police after hearing a loud explosion at his neighbor’s home around 2 a.m.

‘The glass door was broken. “I think they broke down his door,” the caller said, according to WHIOTV.

When the witness looked outside, he saw a man who police said was Jacob.

‘I opened my back door and he said he had a gun (and) he could come back to my house. “And he jumped off the porch and left,” the caller said.

Police told WHIOTV it was at this point that Jacob killed Gustitus in his home. They added that Jacob also killed Jaymee, but did not explain how or where.

Hours later, at 4 a.m., Jacob pulled up to the business and parked outside. He opened the trunk of his car and filmed himself, according to WHIOTV.

Police said Jaymee’s body was found in the trunk of the car and they believe her husband wanted people to find her there.

The Prichards lived in Huber Heights, just north of Dayton, close to Cincinnati. They have three children, which they often share on social media.

Police said they did not think the children witnessed any horror. A motive has not yet been determined.

Gustitus was a lieutenant working with the 711th Human Performance Wing, part of the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson.

The Prichards worked on the same base as civilian employees: Jaymee at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and Prichard at the Air Force Research Laboratory.

It is unclear what their relationship was to Gustitus. Police identified him as their colleague.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident; our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones affected,” Lt. Gen. Linda Hurry, Air Force Materiel Command deputy commander, said in a statement.

‘We stand with them as they navigate this unimaginable pain and offer our sincerest condolences to everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss.

‘We are committed to investigating this incident fully and ensuring that the families and colleagues of the victims receive the support they need at this difficult time.’

Jaymee’s family started a petition fundraiser To support three children, people can donate to provide meals for children.

‘The Rock/Pritchard family grieves the loss of their daughter and their three children’s mother,’ the fundraiser read.

‘We want to ease a small part of their burden by hosting meals for the family as they navigate this unimaginable time.

‘If possible, please consider signing up to provide meals. ‘Your support and kindness means so much more than words can express.’

The air force base said the deaths are being investigated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

He added that the Air Force and local officials are providing counseling services and support to everyone affected by the tragedy.
