Taylor Sheridan’s new war movie will be released in 2028.

The “Yellowstone” creator’s empire continues to expand rapidly, and it’s reportedly worth more than $1 billion To join NBCUniversal.

Much of the focus remains on the “Yellowstone” universe, with spinoffs also in development or already live. But he’s also taking his talents to the big screen with an upcoming “Call of Duty” movie.

Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Call of Duty’ movie gets official release date

It was announced at CinemaCon on Thursday that the new movie based on the video game series will be released on June 30, 2028. Hollywood Reporter.

Sheridan will write the script and Hollywood legend Peter Berg will direct the film. Berg has many important films.

He is responsible for “Friday Night Lights”, “Lone Survivor” and “Patriots Day”. Now he’s tapping Hollywood’s most talented creative minds for a “Call of Duty” movie.

Considering Sheridan and Berg’s track record, it’s hard to imagine that the film wouldn’t be extremely strained. For examples of what happens when it gets dark and gritty, look at what Sheridan did with “Wind River” and “Sicario.”

“Call of Duty” is also one of the most popular video game franchises ever made. THR reports that more than 500 million copies of the first-person shooter series have been sold.

It is currently unknown what the plot of the movie will be, but we hope it will follow realistic games and not futuristic and black ops stories.

Nobody wants to watch a futuristic war movie with Berg and Sheridan at the helm. Stick to the hits. Stick to what works.

Sheridan also has several other big projects in the pipeline, including “Dutton Ranch,” set to debut on Paramount+ in May, and the third season of “Lioness.” There’s a lot of great content on the way, and I have no doubt that “Call of Duty” will live up to expectations.
