Air India Jaipur-Mumbai flight makes U-turn 18 mins after take-off: What went wrong

A Air India flight from Jaipur to Mumbai made an emergency return shortly after the departure on Friday. Authorities confirmed that the AI612 flight returned to Jaipur International Airport due to the “suspicious technical problem”.

The plane remained in the air for about 18 minutes before returning to Jaipur.

Security Protocols

Air India said in a statement, “The flight from Jaipur to Mumbai AI612 returned to Jaipur shortly after taking off due to a suspicious technical problem.” He said.

Airline officials confirmed that the return decision was given as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger security. Air India also stressed that passenger safety is the most important priority of the airline.

PTI reported that this rapid action is compatible with standard aviation security protocols when potential problems were detected.

Investigation and re -start of the flight

After landing, the plane was thoroughly checked for possible problems. Air India also announced that “problems are determined and a wrong indicator”.

Following the comprehensive examination, aircraft was cleaned for operations.

After the protocols were carried out, the flight left Jaipur and continued his journey to Mumbai.
