IMD predicts heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh; orange alert issued

Following the deep depression in the wake of cyclonic storm Ditwah, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for many coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, forecasting heavy to very heavy rains on Monday, December 1, due to intensification of the low pressure system in the southwestern Bay of Bengal.
