Israeli forces clashed with Hamas in a sign of fresh pressure for a peace deal in Gaza; While blocking the flow of food and medical supplies to Palestinians, both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
The Israel Defense Forces said it responded to the shooting on Sunday by launching airstrikes and artillery fire against militants in the southern part of the war-torn area near the Rafah border with Egypt.
Israel said Hamas fighters opened fire with anti-tank missiles and guns on soldiers in an area controlled by Israel within the scope of the ceasefire, and promised to respond if the attacks continued.

But Hamas said Israeli forces had repeatedly violated the ceasefire and claimed 46 people had been killed in recent days, unconfirmed by any other source.
With tensions rising dramatically, Israel said it would suspend all humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza until further notice.
