During a trip to Bath, a group of American friends, with the encouragement of several Brits, decided to try a full English breakfast for the first time, and they wasted no time in sharing their candid decision.

As American tourist Amber Kacherian explored the UK with her two friends, Blake and Jared, the trio ventured out to explore everything Bath has to offer. While there, they took the plunge and ordered a full English breakfast for the first time, quickly coming to a three-word verdict after finding that nothing was as they expected.

As the group began dissecting the various components of a classic stir-fry, Amber documented the taste test for her 424,000 followers on Instagram.

“So today we’re here in beautiful Bath, England and we’re going to try a proper English breakfast,” Amber, seen sitting in what appears to be a local cafe or restaurant, said at the beginning of the video.

The footage then showed a man named Blake holding a fork in his hand and looking uncertainly at his full English breakfast plate, seemingly unsure of where to start.

“Okay, Blake’s going to try the black pudding,” Amber said from behind the scenes as Blake took his first bite of the divisive treat.

Immediately after chewing a single mouthful of black pudding, Blake was seen grimacing, making a noise of clear disapproval, and after removing it from his mouth, he shouted: “What the hell?

“We’re not going to eat any of this,” Blake said, placing the remaining black pudding on a napkin and pushing it off her plate.

The camera then panned to Amber, who explained that she started her breakfast with a ‘classic pancake’ with syrup. After taking a mouthful, he continued to praise the taste of the syrup, insisting it was “sweeter” than what he was used to in the United States.

“But I think what’s really interesting is what they have to put on the pancakes,” Amber said as she continued to display the honey, peanut butter, jam and Marmite varieties. However, viewers in the comments section were quick to point out that most of these accompaniments were for toast rather than pancakes.

Believing it couldn’t get ‘worse’ than black pudding, Blake opted for a taste of Marmite and spread a thick layer on some of his toast. However, as he continued to taste it, he quickly moved his face to the other side before declaring the taste like ‘sadness’.

“It’s definitely not that bad,” he remarked, gesturing at the discarded black pudding. He then handed the slice to their other friend, Jared, to sample, who immediately said: “This smells like burnt yeast.”

He took a bite, too, and quickly grimaced as he chewed on a piece of Marmite-covered toast. He said: “Oh, that’s so powerful.”

Amber then continued: “And of course, it’s not a full English breakfast without some beans on toast.” Before taking a sample, he held up a slice of white bread with beans on top. This turned out to be a clear winner, as he expressed his sincere appreciation for the pairing of beans and bread.

The duo were then surprised by the bacon, initially mistaking it for ham. However, although it was different from the pastrami they were used to, it became quite popular. Discovering that the yogurt was different from American yogurt, Amber was surprised when she compared the British version to sour cream, but still found it enjoyable.
