WXV Global Series: Red Roses to host Australia, Canada and New Zealand in September

England will face Canada in the rematch of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup final as part of a trio of fixtures at the WXV Global Series in September.
The Red Roses became world champions for the third time after beating Canada 33-13 in front of more than 80,000 fans at Twickenham five months ago.
They will host Australia, Canada and New Zealand in the three UK regions in September.
John Mitchell’s side will welcome Australia to CorpAcq Stadium on September 12 before hosting Canada at Sandy Park in Exeter on September 19.
They will also face six-time World Cup champions New Zealand at Twickenham on September 26.
“We can’t wait to go head to head with one of the best teams in the world once again,” England and Exeter’s Maddie Feaunati said of the match against Canada.
Red Roses captain Megan Jones said there was “nothing better than a Red Roses v Black Ferns game”, while Sale Sharks hooker Amy Cokayne added it was “fantastic” to host Australia in the north-west.
The fixtures are part of the WXV Global Series, which replaces the WXV competition and will feature 12 of the world’s best teams.
In addition to Scotland, Ireland and Wales, France, Italy, Japan, South Africa and the USA were the other teams that managed to enter the top 12.
Outside of World Cup years, teams will play 9-16 Tests in the WXV Global Series with a maximum of six Tests each September and October.
England will begin their Women’s Six Nations defense at home against Ireland on April 11, their first game since their World Cup win.
