Hostage families thank Trump after Hamas accepts peace deal: video

Family members of hostages held by Hamas celebrated the adoption of President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan by calling him to thank him for his efforts, including the release of the remaining 48 hostages.

A video released by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum (HMFF) showed a group of family members on the phone Wednesday night with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick for a brief conversation with the President.

Trump answered the call and was immediately greeted with positive words and cheers from the group.

Many people say “Thank you!” he shouted. and one person said, “You did it!” he said. and another said: “This is amazing.”

One man was heard thanking the president for everything he has done for Israel and its people in the last few years.

“Mr. President, we believe in you. We know you’ve done so much for us… since you became President. Even before that. And we believe you’ve done the job until every hostage, every single one of the 48 hostages, comes home,” the man said. “Thank you very much. Happy peacemakers.”

Another man chimed in, “God bless you, Mr. President. God bless America.”

Before ending the phone call, Trump said that all hostages would be returned on Monday, which received great applause from the group.

Family members were in Washington DC with HMFF this week to mark the second anniversary of Hamas’ unprecedented attack on Israel.

Trump’s peace plan was adopted one day after the anniversary of October 7.

“Yesterday, we gathered here at the Sukkah of Hope with the Trump administration. And today, President Trump did that. He just announced that our loved ones, the hostages, are coming home,” the organization said in a statement on Wednesday. he said.

HMFF assured that it would continue fighting until all 48 hostages were returned to their families.

The organization said, “We will not stop fighting until we see the last of the 48 return to their families. Those who were killed in captivity, those who were buried in Israeli territory, those who are still alive, those who crossed the border and were reunited with us and their families.”

The group thanked Trump for his courage and the administration for “doing everything it could to bring them home.”

“Let’s do it,” the statement said.
