GB News paused as William bombshell leaves Harry and Meghan blindsided | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

GB News paused its live coverage for the royal update. Saturday’s news presenter Will Kingston reacted to Mail on Sunday editor-in-chief Charlotte Griffiths and Tom Bower’s claim about the future king. In a one-word bombshell, it has been claimed that Prince William will be “banned” from his brother Prince Harry’s future coronation.

Harry and Meghan Markle married in 2018 and stepped down as senior royals two years later. The royal biographer recently published Betrayal, her new book about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. A spokesman for the couple said Bower had “crossed the line from criticism to obsession”.

In a recent statement they said: “This is someone who speaks for himself, stating openly that ‘the monarchy is essentially about erasing the Sussexes from our state of life’. He has made a career out of building ever more elaborate theories about people he doesn’t know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those looking for deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”

The book touches upon topics such as Harry and Meghan’s relationship with Prince William and Princess Catherine.

The GB News presenter asked the show’s guest about the context of claims that Harry will not be invited to his brother’s coronation when the time comes.

“I think it very likely that William will remove his brother from the coronation,” Charlotte replied. “People are starting to speculate what William will do when he becomes King.”

He continued: “I think the first thing he’ll do is remove his brother from the line of succession. He’ll probably take away his titles and the actual day of the coronation.”

Addressing her sibling’s troubled relationship, Charlotte claimed the move “may have been driven by fear” following Meghan and Harry’s Oprah interview alongside the book Spare.

He suggested William may have been concerned that some moments might be documented by the duke’s attendance at royal festivities.

“This could be in a book, another Oprah interview, or another reality series,” Charlotte said.

He continued: “We know he’s done the Netflix series with Meghan in the past. [Harry] Being in the company of any royal service will create great tension among the rest of the Royal Family. “There would be no point in her being there, especially if Meghan was going to be there.”

It comes after Daily Telegraph news writer Hugo Vickers claimed the late Queen was worried about face-to-face meetings with Harry and Meghan due to fears of leaks.

Elsewhere, the Sussexes attended Netflix’s Beef Season 2 Montecit Tastemaker event in their home state of California.

The couple beamed as they stood next to Netflix co-chef Ted Sarandos and his wife Nicole Avant.
