Trump says Iran’s president asked for ceasefire, but U.S. wants Hormuz Strait open first

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Iran’s president has asked the United States for a ceasefire.

However, Trump said the US would “consider” the offer only when the Strait of Hormuz is “open, free and clear”. Real Social.

“Until then we will continue to destroy Iran or, as they say, return it to the Stone Age!!!” he wrote.

The announcement came hours before Trump was set to address the nation with an “important update on Iran,” according to the White House.
