Dani Dyer pulls out of Strictly with broken ankle

Dani Dyer withdrew from dancing strictly this year after breaking his ankle.

In front of the 29 -year -old TV, he said he was “funny” in training on Friday and a break was approved after a screening on Monday.

“It is inadequate to say that I have broken hearts,” he said.

The injury arrived after joining the launch show, which was released on Saturday, but before the first competitive week of the series.

Dyer, who found fame for the first time in Love Island, was matched with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin at the launch show.

He said: “I had a decrease in the rehearsals on Friday and I went down funny. I thought I had rolled my foot, but it was badly swollen at the weekend and it turned out that I broke my ankle after a MRI scan yesterday.

“Apparently it is not recommended to take a quick step on a fracture (!!) And doctors said I was not allowed to dance, so I had to get out of the show.”

“I will miss dancing with Nikita, but of course I will watch it closely and cheer all the couples.”

Sarah James, the chief producer of the show, said that the partnership of Dani and Nikita came down to the “most sensational start” and that “everyone in the show was incredibly upset that everyone could not compete in this year’s series”.

“We send him all our love and best wishes for a quick recovery and hope to invite him back to the ballroom in the future.”

Judge Shirley Ballas was among those who sent good wishes to Instagram. “I’m so sorry. But health is the most important. Soon be good Angel,” he said.

Dancer Dianne Buswell wrote: “I’m so sorry Dani and Nikita. We’ll miss you very much XX.”

Professional Johannes Radebe said: “I shouted for the two, take care of yourself.”

Dyer is the second celebrity to withdraw before the competition starts. Game of Thrones player Kristian Nairn.
