CEO Among Three Held For Gangrape Of Woman IT Firm Manager In Udaipur

Jaipur : Three persons, including the CEO of a private IT company, were arrested for allegedly gang-raping a woman executive of the company after a birthday party in Udaipur, Rajasthan, police said on Friday. According to the police, accused CEO Jitesh Sisodia had organized a party on his birthday last Saturday, where the manager was also a guest.
The other accused in the case were a woman executive chairman of the company and her husband Gaurav Sirohi from Meerut.
All three suspects were arrested and appeared in court on Thursday, and the court sentenced them to four days in police custody.
Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal said, “The accused were arrested after a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sukher police station. They were produced in court on Thursday and sent to four-day police remand.” he said.
According to the woman’s complaint, after the party, she was left alone while the other guests slowly left. The female manager then offered to drop her home and took the woman into his car, where Sisodia and Sirohi were also seated.
On the way, they bought something similar to a cigarette from a shop and offered it to the woman. He allegedly lost consciousness after eating it. The complaint stated that when she woke up the next morning, she realized she had been sexually assaulted.
Police said that a lawsuit was filed upon the complaint of the female manager and the three suspects were detained and arrested after their interrogation.
They added that the woman’s medical examination was conducted, her statements were recorded and the case was handed over to Additional Commissioner of Police Madhuri Verma.
