Lucas Oil founder and motorsports icon Forrest Lucas dies at 83, leaving $500 million empire
In an article shared by Lucas Oil Products in X, the company said, “We are deeply upset about the passing of the founding Forrest Lucas.” He said.
“Forrest’s unlimited motive for Lucas Oil, his generosity and love for his family, friends and community challenged his life. We know that his legacy will continue to inspire our team and everyone who knows him.”
Disappointed with ongoing mechanical problems, Lucas began to develop its own oil and fuel additives. This led to the launch of Lucas Oil Products, which he founded in 1989 with his wife.
The brand has become synonymous with the Indianapolis Colts, who played at Motorsports and Lucas Oil Stadium.
Lucas Oil is also a sponsorship of Indiana Pacers’s jerseys and has been a partner of the Indianapolis Racing Park Park since 2011. Born in February 1942 in the Bartholomew County countryside, Lucas’s beginnings are humble. He grew up on a small farm in the town of Elkinsville, which is currently destroyed, and then in life, he said his childhood was “rural deprivation”. Forrest and his three sisters said Lucas was the “club” in 2014 in 2014. In October 2011, he acquired MAVTV and transformed motor sports into a focused cable TV channel.
