Woman caught on Coldplay kiss cam with her boss FINALLY breaks silence: ‘It was a cliché mistake after a few tequila cocktails’

The human resources manager, who got intimate with her married boss on a giant jumbotron at a Coldplay concert, eventually spoke out, claiming that the couple was not in a sexual relationship.
Kristin Cabot and former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron shared an intimate embrace during a concert in Boston on July 16, but quickly separated and tried to hide when they realized they were being broadcast on the kiss cam.
Cabot, 53, remained silent for months but eventually went public with the now-viral incident, claiming it was a one-off, alcohol-fuelled mistake.
“I made a bad decision and had a few lunches, danced with my boss, and engaged in inappropriate behavior,” he said. New York Times. ‘And that’s nothing. I took responsibility and gave up my career for this. This is the price I choose to pay.’
He said Cabot had been shamed online, mocked by celebrities and branded an ‘adulterer’ by strangers he encountered in public places, adding that he had received more than 60 threats against his life.
She admitted that she had a crush on Byron and was excited to introduce him to her friends, but claimed the pair hadn’t even kissed before that night.
Although they shared tequila cocktails, danced together and kissed in VIP balcony seats at the concert, Cabot said this was their first and only time.
But he regretted the moment, which he described as ‘cliché’, adding: ‘I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes and you can really mess up. But you don’t need to be threatened with being killed for them.’

Cabot’s unfortunate decision to duck and hide as the camera panned towards her and hugged Byron went viral, with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin calling it out.
“They’re either in a relationship or they’re too shy,” Martin told the crowd.
Seeing himself on the big screen, Byron muttered, ‘Damn, it’s me.’
Cabot recalled how she instantly felt ’embarrassed and horrified’, with both she and Byron returning to the pub immediately afterwards.
She was worried about two things: her career and her estranged husband Andrew, who was at that concert on his own date.
He told the Times he didn’t want to humiliate his ex. She and Andrew had been married for two years but had separated at the time of the scandal..
Cabot also knew how bad it looked to be seen huddled next to his boss. ‘I’m the head of HR and he’s the CEO. ‘This is so cliché and so bad,’ he recalled.
She shared that she and Byron sat at the bar with their hands on their heads in obvious shock and began devising a plan to move forward.
Cabot reportedly resigned from the company just days after Byron stepped down as CEO.

Together they went to his Boston-area apartment and decided they needed to inform the Board of Astronomers about what had happened.
They drafted an email, but by the time they sent it the next morning, footage of their exchange had already gone viral on TikTok.
Both Byron and Cabot were immediately placed on leave by Astronomer while the company conducted an investigation into the incident.
Shortly thereafter, Byron resigned as CEO. Cabot’s resignation followed his.
Cabot filed for divorce from Andrew on August 13. In a statement at the time, he confirmed that they planned to end their marriage before the concert.
She told the Times that Andrew, who had kept quiet about the incident, citing his family’s desire for privacy, was “nothing but a gentleman” after everything that had happened.
Their mother’s teenage children, who feared for their lives at the height of the scandal, are now in therapy and have been welcomed back to school with kindness.
Similarly, Cabot began leaving his home again, saw an improvement in his mood, and even resumed some of his old hobbies.
She and Byron stayed in touch over the summer, but cut off all contact in September after admitting their conversations made it “very difficult for everyone to move on and heal,” Cabot told the newspaper.
In late September, Byron and his wife, Megan Kerrigan, were spotted on a casual outing together near their beach hideaway in Maine for the first time in months, notably still wearing their wedding rings.
Byron and his wife, Megan, are still married, but they quietly sold their $5.8 million New York City apartment last month.
According to the sales contract, they currently live in Massachusetts.
Megan, 50, changed to her maiden name Kerrigan on social media and fled her marital home in Northborough, Massachusetts.
