Meghan Markle ‘urges’ major power play for Brooklyn Beckham | UK | News

There may be a meeting with Oprah Winfrey for Brooklyn Beckham after Meghan Markle offered him as a mentor following the bombshell in his family.
The 26-year-old has been receiving support from the Duchess of Sussex since she posted a six-page tirade against Victoria and David on Instagram Stories; Meghan describes echoes of her own royal struggles in her case.
According to insiders, Brooklyn’s encounter with public criticism triggered something in Meghan; Meghan thinks her own experience mirrors the treatment she received with Harry. He believes the same Oprah platform that gave the Sussexes their voice could work for Brooklyn, too.
Sources explained: “Meghan really sees herself in Brooklyn, and since getting to know him over the last few months, she feels misunderstood, just like him and Harry. Witnessing all the backlash she received following her announcement last week really hit a nerve and triggered Meghan. Meghan was there and knows how hurtful it is to be vilified for speaking her mind.”
Brooklyn’s health comes first, according to Meghan’s advice, but she planted the seed for telling her story properly: “She immediately reached out to offer support to him and Harry, advising Brooklyn to put her own mental health first.
She also gently defended the idea of telling her side of the story properly, not on social media, but through a proper sit-down interview with Oprah in the right environment where she could open up and feel safe, heard, and protected. “He feels like he should be setting the story rather than his parents.”
Harsh allegations shook Beckham empire
For months, rumors of a feud with the Beckham family had been circulating before Brooklyn, which he confirmed with his brutal statement that also highlighted the rift with his wife Nicola Peltz.
Victoria has come under fire for allegedly “missing” the newlyweds’ first dance at the 2022 celebration and dancing “inappropriately” with Brooklyn. The wedding dress saga has also resurfaced – with Brooklyn accusing her mother of canceling plans to create Nicola’s dress “at the 11th hour”. Moreover, she claimed that both parents offered to “bribe” her to sign over the naming rights before marriage.
Global headlines have exploded around one of entertainment’s biggest families. Questions about the Peltz-Beckham wedding have proliferated, supporters and critics have emerged for both sides, and endless speculation has emerged, Closer reported.
The Beckhams maintain a united front despite the storm
Despite the media maelstrom, Victoria, 51, and David, 50, have not retreated from the spotlight. The Spice Girls reunion for Emma Bunton’s 50th anniversary took place just days after Brooklyn’s post dropped.
Their next stop was Paris, where Victoria received the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters award from the French Ministry of Culture during Fashion Week. Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, attended the special ceremony, and the two older boys brought along their girlfriends Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel.
Oprah praised as ‘trustworthy and understanding’
The Sussexes’ 2021 Oprah special aired for 85 minutes and revealed tensions in the royal family; including allegations about concerns about their son’s appearance, claims that Meghan failed to get help for her mental health, and controversy about her relationships with British tabloids.
Sources say Brooklyn could join Oprah’s list of headline-making guests if she follows Meghan’s lead.
The insider said: “Meghan spoke very warmly about Oprah, telling Brooklyn that she is not only incredibly trustworthy, but also extremely caring. Oprah will be sure to do everything in her power to turn the tide and win the public over to her side after all the hate and criticism.”
Meghan could break the ice before any official interviews, he suggested: “Meghan even floated the idea of a private dinner to break the ice. Something low-key, away from cameras, so Brooklyn can feel supported and get to know Oprah before making big decisions. Meghan acts like a mentor. She guides him through what the next step might look like without pushing him.”
Brooklyn weighs its options carefully
Life appears to go on for Brooklyn, who posted a video montage filled with clips of him and Nicola, 31, confessing his love for his wife. Comment sections are full of family-related remarks, but the aspiring chef isn’t giving up and appears to be carefully considering his next move, including whether Oprah will play a role.
A source added: “Understandably, Brooklyn is feeling a lot of mixed emotions at the moment and is trying to process the fallout. While she wanted to get her proper words in, she told Meghan she needed time to digest everything and discuss next steps with Nicola without rushing into anything. “Once everything has calmed down a bit, she said she would be willing to meet Oprah to at least talk about it and see where the country is at.”
