Remembering the life of Dennis Cometti

Broadcaster Dennis Cometti, one of football’s most beloved personalities, He passed away this week, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of kindness, witty sound bites and a love of the game that brought a nation together. He was 76 years old.

Cometti worked for a variety of broadcasters, starting at the ABC in 1972 and moving to the Seven Network from 1986 to 2001, where he is best known. He called Nine from 2002 to 2006, then returned to Seven from 2007 until he finished his job in television in 2016.
