KTR slams Revanth Reddy govt. for deceiving youth on jobs

HYDERABAD
KT Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for shunning unemployed youth after failing to keep his pre-poll promise to fill two lakh vacancies in the first year of his coming to power.
Mr Rao said on Tuesday that it was shameful that the Chief Minister, who failed to initiate the recruitment process to fill the vacancies, made the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president point out that it was a five-year promise.
Even AICC leader Priyanka Gandhi had promised voters during the campaign that they could dethrone the government if they failed to fill two lakh vacancies within a year of the party coming to power in Telangana. The Congress government had given appointment letters for 65,000 posts, the process of filling which was in the final stage after BRS left office, and Mr. Revanth Reddy was taking the responsibility of filling these posts and in the process, he completely forgot his promise.
In the past, the BRS government had filled 1.65 lakh posts by December 2023, but Mr. Reddy had defamed the government by spreading misinformation among the youth. Now that the real face of the government has been exposed without any recruitment process, unemployed youth and their parents are regretting supporting the Congress.
Mr. Rama Rao also said that the government has also failed to keep its promise of taking up mega DSC to fill all teacher vacancies and unemployment benefits to eligible unemployed youth.
The BRS leader said and alleged that the Congress government, since coming to power, has been cheating farmers by denying Rythu Bandhu/Bharosa for three harvest seasons and has also cheated women by not keeping its promise of support of ₹2,500 per month.
