Pets at Home rival opening 3 new pet superstores across UK – full list | UK | News

Dear Pets has a new rival in town. Pet owners looking to spend money on their pets will be able to choose from five new Jollyes supermarkets.

Jollyes, an award-winning pet store chain, will sell frozen treats for cats and dogs and offer a community pet clinic service, providing animals with microchipping services, examinations, flea and worm treatments from qualified Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons animal care providers. Pet owners can also spoil their pets with healthy Christmas treats and shop Jollyes’ new comprehensive ‘pick and mix’ Natural Treat range, which includes pork rolls, sausages and lamb braided pig’s ears. Jollyes, named Pet Retail Chain of the Year 2023, has opened 100 stores across the UK.

The retailer, which opened five stores in October and November, will open two more stores in December with additional locations for the new year.

Five of the new openings will be in vacant former Poundland premises, after the budget chain announced a number of store closures earlier this year.

Founded in 1971, Jollyes opened its first store in Enfield and has over 100 stores in England and Northern Ireland. With over 50 years of expertise and trust from their loyal customers, some of Joylles stores offer The Jolly Groomer and veterinary services at their community pet clinics.

The Scuntrope store was the first to offer a range of treatment services, such as Wash and Go, and was later followed by Dartford, Enfield and Tonbridge Joylles, which also offer grooming services.

The fast-growing retailer will also open a store at Blackpool’s Cherry Tree Retail Park (January 24).

Jollyes chief operating officer and appointed CEO Adam Dury said: “These are exciting times for us at Jollyes, bringing our combination of low prices and pet expertise to many new communities before Christmas.

“We have received a warm welcome from customers in Chesterfield, Swansea and Southend and we can’t wait to open our doors this week on the first of the former Poundland units we have secured.”

The company is also partnering with delivery service Uber Eats to offer a five-mile radius delivery service called ‘Zoomies’. So your pets can enjoy toys, accessories and food delivered to their homes.
