Hailstorm batters paddy crops in Konaraopet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district

Unexpected downpour and hailstorm destroyed paddy crops in Marrimadla and adjoining villages in Konaraopet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district in the wee hours of Sunday (April 5).

According to sources, the unusual weather event in mid-summer dealt a blow to many farmers in Marrimadla and nearby villages, damaging their existing crops on hundreds of acres of land.

Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas visited hailstorm-affected paddy crops in Marrimadla on Sunday. He interacted with the affected farmers and assured them of assistance from the government.
