Cadillac: Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez to drive for new F1 team in 2026

Mexico was left by Red Bull at the end of last season, although the team had been exhausted to prove that the team could provide the necessary support for Max Verstappen.
GM’s partner TWG Global’s General Manager Dan Towriss said Cadillac is considering signing a young and future driver before he approved this series.
“Their experiences, leaderships and technical intelligence is what we need.” He said. “We are humble to us and your beliefs in this project.
“There is a very talented and very talented driving pool, so it was a difficult decision. But it was the leadership of these two drivers.”
In a team statement, Bottas said he felt that Cadillac was “ambitious but also grounded at the same time.”
“This is not just a racing project, it’s a long -term vision. It’s not your chance to be part of something that is built every day from scratch and turn it into something that really belongs to the F1 grill.
“I am honored to work with some of the best teams in the world, and I can see the same professionalism and hunger here.
“This is an iconic brand with a great heritage in American motor sports, and it is incredibly special to be a part of the story when entering F1’s world stage.”
Perez added: “I was able to feel the passion and determination behind this project from our first speeches.
“It is a great responsibility to help bring such a wonderful company to F1, I trust me.”
