US President Donald Trump gave a characteristically meandering 45-minute speech at the Rose Garden Club luncheon on Tuesday.
The president hosted the meeting in the White House Rose Garden, which he controversially transformed in the summer by paving stones to create a patio for such occasions, prompting sharp criticism from both sides of the political divide. The cost of the project is estimated at 1.9 million dollars.
This comes after he made controversial changes to the presidential portraits displayed in the Oval Office and the start of construction on a new $250 million ballroom in the East Wing of the White House. Private donations will fund the project.
The real estate mogul began his remarks by boasting about his construction ventures before launching into a tirade about current events.
During his speech, he made some strange and exaggerated statements that were particularly striking. Mirror USA.
Trump boasted about “beautiful black women” in Chicago wearing MAGA merchandise to “avoid getting attacked and shot.”
While celebrating his and the Republican Party’s successes in attracting Black and ethnic minority communities, Trump made rude comments about Black women and observed that they traditionally support Democrats.
“It’s harder now for a Democrat, because if you’ve seen what we’ve done to Hispanics, to Black workers, to Black men, and a survey recently came out of Black men and women, we’re doing very well.”

Although a recent survey from AtlasIntel found that 54% of Black voters approve of Trump, it remains unclear which poll he was referring to. The president believes the GOP has managed to attract key POC demographic groups thanks to its solid position on crime.
“They want security, they don’t want their city destroyed,” Trump said at the Rose Club Garden event.
“Women in Chicago, beautiful Black women, they walk around in red MAGA hats because they don’t want to get mugged and shot and everything else,” she continued. “Then you see a Democrat stand up and tell you how safe Chicago is.”
Trump attempted to explain the copper wire problems to air traffic control systems after they caused several outages.
Trump lamented the current challenges facing air traffic controllers, which he attributed to the previous Biden administration.
“There’s Pete Buttigieg [Biden’s Secretary of Transportation]”Trump has spent billions of dollars to fix air traffic control,” he said.
Trying to clarify the workings of air traffic control systems, he said, “They put copper wire inside the glass wire. Any union electrician here, or any non-union electrician, will tell you that you can’t connect copper to the glass. It doesn’t work. They spent billions of dollars, opened up the system, and it was rock hard.”
Several air traffic control system failures this year have been triggered by faulty copper wire dating back to the 1970s. Air traffic controllers were traumatized by the ordeal, causing travel disruptions.

Trump said the Federal Aviation Administration is working to expedite the installation of new fiber optic lines at airports to address the problem.
The president called New York’s Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani a “communist.”
Mamdani is a member of the Democratic Party and Democratic Socialists of America, which campaigns for workers’ rights and aims for equal distribution of wealth.
“We have to win the midterms or everything will be taken away from us by the Radical Left lunatics,” Trump warned. “I mean, we’re going to have a communist mayor in New York. Can you believe that?
“I always said that a socialist would not be elected in our country. Remember? I always said that. I was right. We skipped the socialists, we elected a communist. So I didn’t lie, I was right. We have a communist, not a socialist.”
Trump claimed the GOP has a 92% chance of losing congressional control in the 2026 Midterm Elections.

Addressing lawmakers, Trump expressed concerns that the midterms would not give him an advantage, despite all his alleged successes.
“People understand. We’re giving you the biggest tax cuts in history. All of this comes together. We should do spectacularly well in the midterms,” he began.
“The only thing wrong with the midterms is that when you look at it statistically, a president gets elected and for some reason no one gets elected, not even the greats. [Senate Majority Leader] John Thune can explain it to me.
“For some reason, even if he’s a reasonably good president — and we’ve had success like no one else has — but for some reason you lose the midterms. I don’t know why,” he continued. “The odds are against us, like 92%. That doesn’t make sense.
“If you have a great presidency, it makes sense that you win the midterm elections. So there should be no reason for that,” he added. “There may be a dark, deep, irrational reason why they want to vote the other way.”
While it is generally true that incumbent presidents often face challenges during mid-term election cycles—a pattern observed in recent elections globally—Express US could not find any publicly available research at the time of publication to substantiate this extraordinary claim.
Trump devoted significant time to his tirade about the federal government shutdown that began at the beginning of the month. In an odd comparison, he likened Russ Vought, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget and a key figure in Project 2025 cutting federal funds and positions, to Russ Vought, the antagonist of the science fiction series Star Wars.
“We have Darth Vader. You know Darth Vader, right? Darth Vader is a sitting man – is that Darth? Stand up please, Darth. Does everybody know – they call him Darth Vader, I call him a good man,” Trump said. “But it cuts into Democrats’ priorities, and they’ll never get them back.”
