Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Disha Patani, Avinash Tiwary impress in Vishal Bhardwaj’s violent love saga

O’Romeo marks the reunion of acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor after Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon and promises a powerful revenge romance inspired by true events. Adding to the heightened anticipation, the filmmakers offer a stunning glimpse into the film’s evocative world, offering audiences a first look at the intense emotional landscape and eclectic structure.

Set against the backdrop of unrequited love, O’Romeo stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in a deeply emotional and turbulent narrative that explores passion, pain and the irreversible consequences of rejected love. The film also features a phenomenal cast including Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, Aruna Irani, Vikrant Massey and Tamannaah Bhatia in a special appearance.

According to reports, Shahid and Triptii are playing real-life gangsters Hussain Ustara and Sapna Didi in the Vishal Bhardwaj film. Initially, this film was intended to be a biopic of Sapna Didi, starring Deepika Padukone in the lead role and the late Irrfan Khan as Hussain. Reports later suggested that Kartik Aaryan would play Ustara, but later Vishal went back to Shahid, whom he trusts and often collaborates with.

O’Romeo, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his production company Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, will be released on Valentine’s Week, February 13, 2026. The film will clash at the box office with Adarsh ​​Gourav, the lead actor of Shanaya Kapoor-starrer survival thriller Tu Yaa Main. The latter is directed by Bejoy Nambiar of Shaitan and Wazir fame and produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma along with Vinod Bhanushali and Kamlesh Bhanushali under their banners Color Yellow Production and Bhanushali Studios Ltd.
