Fire breaks out at BBC’s former HQ Television Centre

Approximately 100 firefighters deal with a fire in the television center of the BBC in the former center of Western London.
The London Fire Department said that there were 15 engines in the nine -storey building in Wood Lane in White City after a fire in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The building is now home to a restaurant and apartment and television studios. Authorities, an unspecified number of houses were affected and people were evacuated, he said.
It is not known what caused the fire or whether there is any injury.
The London Fire Department said that Hammersmith, North Kensington, Kensington and Chiswick were called 03:08 BST.
Two large turntable ladder were used to address the fire from a height.
“Tugay is trying to evacuate buildings in the region as a precaution with multi -agency partners, including the metropolitan police.” He said.
“A relaxation center is being established for the residents who have been evacuated from their homes.
“Wood Lane is currently closed to traffic and events will continue for a while because people are advised to avoid the region.”
