Mother of kidnap murder victim, 21, says his death ‘does not feel real’ – as police hunt for missing pair of £1,000 Louis Vuitton trainers that could hold the key

The mother of a man who was brutally attacked and left for dead in a car park has said her son’s murder was ‘a mother’s worst nightmare’.
Zoe Ann Sullivan’s son Jack was abducted from Waltham Abbey in Essex on June 22 and was later found unresponsive and seriously injured in a car park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.
Before his mother was allowed to see Jack, he was airlifted to hospital where he underwent brain surgery and part of his skull was removed during a four-hour surgery.
Unfortunately, the 21-year-old passed away in a coma four days later at 5.15am on June 27th.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ms Sullivan said her son’s death was ‘unbelievable’ and ‘doesn’t feel real right now’.
‘I’m in shock right now,’ the 41-year-old man said. ‘I haven’t even buried him yet.’
She also detailed the traumatic experience of never speaking to her son again after he was brutally attacked.
‘He was unresponsive when found. “I wasn’t allowed to see him while he was in the helicopter,” he said. ‘They took him for a scan and he had a brain haemorrhage.
Police believe someone is either wearing murder victim Jack Sullivan’s £1,000 Louis Vuitton trainers or trying to sell them
Mr Sullivan is believed to have been abducted from Waltham Abbey in Essex on June 22 and driven away in this black Mitsubishi.
‘I didn’t see him after a four-hour surgery. They removed part of his skull. He never came out of his coma and we donated his organs.’
The mother said Essex Police had not given her any additional information about her son’s death because ‘the people who killed my son are still at large’.
He continued: ‘It’s very difficult. ‘He died from brain damage but there were no physical cuts on his head, so as a mother you wonder what happened to him.’
But detectives believe the Louis Vuitton sneakers Jack was wearing when he was kidnapped may hold the key to the murder.
They are now asking for the public’s help in finding Mr. Sullivan’s missing blue shoes as they believe someone will wear them or try to sell them.
Police have also released a captured photo of the black Mitsubishi used in the hijacking in the hope that people will come forward to help the investigation.
So far, three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on conditional bail.
Ms Sullivan said she did not know who her son was having an affair with because he was a ‘grown man’.
Police believe the black Mitsubishi Outlander bearing registration HY16 FZR was used in the abduction of Mr Sullivan; but this is not the actual license plate of the vehicle
‘Of course I want to know, but I’ll never know exactly what it is. Them [the police] Never make all the pieces fit together.’
On Saturday, Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood, who is leading the investigation into Mr Sullivan’s murder, said: ‘We believe Jack was taken and transported in a black Mitsubishi Outlander bearing the number plate HY16 FZR – but this is not the vehicle’s actual number plate.
‘We know the vehicle was stolen from an address in Loughton on 3 June and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen this vehicle between 3 and 23 June, when we know it was abandoned on River Close near Fishers Close in Waltham Cross.
‘We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle abandoned that day.
‘We are also asking for help in finding Jack’s blue Louis Vuitton sneakers, which cannot be found.
‘The trainers are worth around £1,000 and we believe someone will either wear them – perhaps unbeknownst to the previous owner – or try to sell them.’
Mr Wood added: ‘Jack and his loved ones are at the center of this investigation. We are committed to responding and I would once again encourage anyone with information about the Mitsubishi Outlander or the blue Louis Vuitton trainers to come forward.’
