Man killed after trying to stop thieves from stealing his car in South L.A., authorities say

La County Sheriff Department said that a 41 -year -old man was deadly shot in Southern Los Angeles while trying to protect his car in an attempt to theft in Southern Los Angeles.

MPs responded to the reports of a fiery victim at around 21:20 on Saturday in 8000 blocks of South Hooper Boulevard in La County without any company. They found two injured men on a nearby street. One was shot with a gunshot on the upper body and was pronounced dead by the La County Fire Department at the scene. The other man was taken to a hospital with firearm wounds to his leg.

Inspectors learned that men had heard that the car alarm was out of the street where he parked three people trying to steal the car and identified.

Men, a fourth person standing near the entrance of the street, confronted with thieves, opened fire on them. The sheriff said in a statement that one of the men fired in defense of himself.

Sunday afternoon no suspect was arrested.
