Dominic Perrottet welcomes eighth child after relocating family to Washington DC

A former New South Wales premier welcomed her eighth child while living in Washington DC after shifting her career to global business.
Former NSW premier Dominic Perrottet and his wife Helen announced the birth of their new baby boy, James Fulton Thomas Perrottet, born in the US last week.
The family moved to Washington DC after Mr Perrottet took on an executive role at mining giant BHP.
He is currently the company’s vice president of international affairs and the United States.
The Perrottets, now a family of 10, started living in the US capital with their eight children, aged between 4 and 16.
Ms Perrottet is a lawyer who has previously worked with the Australian Federal Police and in military law roles.
The couple chose the name James Fulton Thomas; One of his middle names is believed to be a reference to Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, a prominent American Catholic figure.
The new arrival comes as the former political leader continues his transition from state politics to an international corporate role.
