‘Iran’s missiles can now reach London’ and ‘Tell us what you know, Fergie’
Many newspapers are citing Israel’s claim that Iran is developing ballistic missiles that could hit London. In Sunday’s issue of the Telegraph newspaper, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) was quoted as saying that “the Iranian terrorist regime poses a global threat”, and Iran’s attempt to attack the US-UK military base in Diego Garcia earlier this week was cited as evidence that this attack could now hit London, Paris and Berlin. The newspaper states that the British public was not immediately informed about the attempted attack, “despite its significance”, and notes that the government has not yet confirmed the timing of the thwarted attack.
