Moscow condemns Bondi shooting, says Russians killed

The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the mass attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach and confirmed that Russian citizens were among the dead.
“We strongly condemn the barbaric attack by extremists, which resulted in the killing of 15 people, including a 10-year-old girl, and the wounding of dozens of others,” spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on the ministry’s website.
“It was learned that our citizens permanently residing in Australia were among those killed in the terrorist attack.”
He said Russia was in favor of an “irreconcilable struggle” against terrorism in whatever form it takes.
Zakharova said, “We call on all countries of the world to jointly confront this barbarity. We express our deep condolences to the families of the victims and everyone affected by the terrorist attack.” he said.
Fifteen people, including a 10-year-old girl, were killed and more than 40 people were injured when a father and his son opened fire in Bondi on Sunday afternoon.
