Horror as dad, 35, electrocuted to death pruning hedge | UK | News

A demolished widow says that her husband normally goes to work, but it didn’t get back tragically after accidentally cutting a transformer central wire. 35 -year -old Gardener Blair Campbell, in October 2022 pruning the fences in a fatal way of electric.

The father of the two were taken to hospital, but soon after he lost his life tragically. An investigation at the Cheshire Coroner Court last year heard that the pole was covered with thick ivy with cables when he cut Blair. The vegetation completely covered the warning signs, heard the jury, so Blair had no idea about the dangers.

The investigation also stated that a few reports were presented about the need to remove ivy before Blair’s death, but they did not take action.

The heart -breaking incident occurred this week three years ago, and the mourning widow Tina Blair is now preparing to sue a public office.

Tina claims that it has not received an apology or compensation from the SP Energy Networks, a subsidiary of the Scottish Power, who manages the station.

Now, he said he would start a civilian case against the company to get harm for the death of his husband, whom he shared. He believes that his death can “be prevented in totoal”.

He said: “There was not much we could do before the investigation. Due to the complexity of the case and the participation of HSE (Health and Safety Manager) and the police, we had to wait for two years for the investigation.

“My lawyers have been in contact since the Scottish Power’s investigation, but there was basically silence. As a result, my lawyers had to put back the issue into the courts.

I believe that Scottish power is 28 days to answer after realizing our intentions.

“The investigation was more than three days with a jury, and the result was probably that they contributed to Blair’s death due to their lack of care.

“His death could be completely avoided.”

Following this tragic incident, SP energy networks responsible for protecting the transformer center have revised the health and safety policy since then.

The pole had three reports from IVY, including one of them in August 2022, and Blair died in October that year. A report in 2021 said that there was intense ivy vegetation and that urgent action is necessary. Not all danger warning signs were visible.

He continued: “If he had done his work, it was an accident that could be completely prevented. Three separate inspections were taken from a three -year period, they were all documented, all of them were ignored. However, the accident cleaned the Ivy from the pole in the afternoon.

Blair moved from New Zealand to England, and around 2020 Ceshire, Mobberley, established Blue Kiwi gardens and maintenance.

Tina works full -time to support her two children, waking up every day, hoping to be a “terrible nightmare”.

He says: “The situation continues and really stressful. My son six and my daughter are 10 years old and they are very addicted to me.

“My family lives in Shropshire and Blair’s family is in New Zealand. I work for a dentist and I’m lucky to be a job with some financial security.

“Blair was my soul mate. We met in New Zealand and decided to move to England to be with me. After that, we were not leaving and we were looking forward to spending our future together.

Im I will never forget the feeling when he was told he died. He was normally went to work and said it was just half a day, so I didn’t expect it to be a big job.

“I wake up to this day, hoping that they all have a terrible nightmare.”
