Kurnool police return 2,402 lost and stolen phones in four recovery melas

Kurnool police returned 529 mobile phones worth more than ₹ 1 crore to their owners during the fourth phase of the Mobile Recovery Mela on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Police Inspector Vikrant Patil said police recovered 2,402 mobile phones worth ₹4.08 lakh during the four phases of the mela and returned them to their owners. He said phones were either lost by their owners or stolen during bus, train journeys or festivals and fairs. Mr. Patil added that the phones were seized in various parts of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
