Owaisi Calls for Muslim Unity in Bihar

Haydarabad: Aimim President Asaduddin Owaisi called on Bihar’s Muslims to unite politically and said that no government could not succeed without their participation because they constitute about 19 percent of the population. He called for young people who made up 60 percent of Biha voters to vote wisely and shape their future.
Owaisi addressed a meeting at the Chakand High School in Bela, calling for independent Muslim leadership before the Bihar elections. The mainstream parties accused of preventing Muslim concerns and said that Aimim was looking for an alliance with the Congress and RJD and proposed six seats to confront BJP jointly, but the offer was rejected. He asked the voters in the Bela and Gaya region to stand unified and use their collective powers for a meaningful change. His objection received strong support from the local crowd.
In Madhubani, Owaisi previously launched a sharp attack on RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav and accused him of indirectly helping BJP. “BJP will win because Tejaswi’s voters sit on the lap of Modi and drink tea,” he said.
The Minister warned that the people of Biha will not forgive such behaviors and added that Prime Minister Nitish Kumar appeared to be reluctant to the competition for the government.
