Why Is Revanth Silent On Tejasvi’s Slander On Telangana?: Harish

Hyderabad: BRS Assembly deputy leader T. Harish Rao on Saturday sought an explanation from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for his silence on BJP MLA Tejasvi Surya, who equated the formation of Telangana with the Partition that led to the creation of Pakistan.
Speaking to reporters in Jagtial, Harish Rao said Surya insulted the self-respect of four crore people in Telangana. Harish Rao asked, “Why didn’t Revanth Reddy condemn the comments?” he asked. Harish Rao, along with BRS working president KT Rama Rao, was at Jagtial to check the preparations for the April 20 public meeting, which will be addressed by BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao.
He also criticized BJP leaders in Telangana, including Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, for “trying to defend Surya. Kishan Reddy and others in the BJP are trying to defend Surya instead of telling him to make an unqualified apology.” Telangana was created constitutionally under Article 3 after a long democratic struggle. He said that insulting his formation was insulting the sacrifice of his people.
On former senior Congress leader T. Jeevan Reddy’s decision to join BRS, he said that Jeevan Reddy is a leader with strong political values. His participation will strengthen BRS not only in Karimnagar but also in North Telangana. “The political mood in the state is clearly changing and people are increasingly saying ‘Revanth Reddy should go, KCR should come back’,” Harish Rao said. he said.
